About Deep Space Outpost

Deep Space Outpost is a space station building & survival game, involving resource and base management. Build your space station tile by tile, mine asteroids, refine materials and keep your station operational.

Features:-

• Build your own space station tile by tile. Start with a small startup craft and expand to achieve your mission.
  
• Gather resources by mining or capturing passing asteroids. Refine into metal, fuel, oxygen and water. Salvage derelicts and scrap fields for scrap to recycle. 
  
• Manage your power production and usage. Watch out for solar and magnetic storms giving different damage effects.
  
• Defend you station. Build defence turrets to protect you from meteoroids, scrap and pirates. Watch out for pirate raiders looking to board your station!
  
• Trade resources with passing traders and hire human workers.
• Earn credits from visitors, charge them to use your facilities.
• Job management - Prioritize worker to repair, build, haul or deal with emergencies.
• Research schematics to unlock different upgrades and buildable items.

The game is now in Early Access and available for purchase on Steam. Early access now provides starting scenarios (level generation via seed) and start location choice.  You can also download the demo from there if you prefer:

Demo currently provides you a try of the sandbox game, with no scenarios.  Trading, research and contracts are disabled.

Latest v0.7.0.13 demo update (15/04/2025)

Just bringing the demo here up to date with the Early Access version, as a lot more has been added to the game. Humans now generate co2, that needs to be captured (new co2 scrubber and storage). New start location selection and area info screen. Asteroid areas now generated across map. And load save files has been enabled in the demo.

What next? - 

• More habitat items.
  
• New scenarios.
• More steam integration.
• More research/upgrade unlocks (more powerful weapons, faster production).
