v0.0.0.60 - GFX & Hauling update


Big change with hauling and start of update to space station graphics. With the hauling i didn't want to focus on micro managing hauling, and having a think about this it's probably more realistic that space stations have lots of piping/ducting throughout, which would handle this. So these main changes are now:-

  • Change to building. I've added a substructure tile, which provides a connection to all building tiles. So no unconnected structures allowed. Which i think makes sense as now all connected and powered, no separate 'rooms' can be built.
  • Now there is an underlying connection system, it's not hard to believe that there would be a ducts for materials as well as power, for ease of building.  So now we only haul unrefined material (ore). Refined substances (currently metal), now piped to storage or build site (droid usage).

As for the graphics, ive gone up a tile size in preparation for new graphics,  which has led to updates to many gfx systems. Have also added a test background shader, so not totally black background. Probably need some small tweaks.

Other changes:-

  • There is now a "Fix Now" button on solar panels and connectors.
  • Few little bugs and some balance changes.

So some large changes, but mainly behind the scenes at the moment. Up next:

  • Expand droid maintenance bay - Want to start the droids maintaining the structure and items, to keep efficiency up.  Allow custom priorities.
  • Now everything has health, will need to add the chance of damage to all and let them be repaired. 
  • The GFX improvements, hopefully a new tileset coming!
  • Time controls - Allow the game to run slower and faster.
