v0.0.0.89 - Big damage update (part 1)


Floors and items now take damage (was previously just external station items/walls), and now all buildable structures and items can be destroyed if they take enough damage.  Resource build cost is of course lost and any resources that an item held. Droids obviously now can repair the additional things that can be damaged.

Just the first part though, as several more damage changes needed. So up next I will be looking at:-

  • Items don't currently stop working as they take damage. They probably should after taking too much.
  • No graphical change to damaged items, will need to show visually.
  • Storage units if damaged, might 'leak' or you might not have access to stored resources until fixed.
  • When things are destroyed, i'm thinking of creating scrap resource, so some resources can be salvaged.
  • So may need to add a recycling type of unit. 

So keep an eye out for damage update part 2, in a few weeks!
